Alabama Real Estate License |
Geting an Alabama Real Estate License - Support for Your Own Business. The Real Estate business is a lot like a franchise business. You, the agent, actually work under a broker who provides certain support and assistance to your real estate sales and marketing efforts in exchange for a percentage of the sale. Although it's the south, Alabama real estate is not this backwards which type of business. Actually anything related to real estate from speculation, land development, construction, new and used sales are all very high tech and competitive. This is especially true in many parts of Alabama as people leave the high stress city life for a slower lifestyle. Being a real estate agent anywhere but especially in Alabama is challenging because it takes a lot to get tied into the personal network of people that actually make things happen. In the cities like Birmingham and Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, and Mobile, the growth in real estate development and sales has been nothing short of phenomenal. Working in the larger cities there seems to be more of a support network than out in the outer regions. Although the support from a physical sense, that is, phones, MLS etc. are all there, the people have been a community a lot longer than any one person coming into the area has been a real estate agent. There is a sense that the trust needed to be truly successful as an Alabama real estate agent needs to be nurtured and not simply assumed
Many people who end up selling real estate start with housing and raw land. Many people with an Alabama real estate license take the most traveled route which is the individual home and or raw land markets. Other areas where a RE agent can make a good living are in niche areas like selling and leasing commercial real estate for business, and even small business sales. Many small businesses being sold need the assistance of an experienced real estate agent. The most successful real estate agents throughout Alabama are the ones that enjoy the work. It's long hours and always trolling for work but the rewards can be great. So no matter if you decide to sell town homes in Huntsville to space engineers, or retirement cottages to seniors or even waterfront property in Mobile, getting licensed to sell real estate in Alabama is a great career opportunity. Real Estate allows you to work on your time schedule and offers maximum freedom as an in dependant contractor. So although you may work under a real estate broker, the reality is that you're an independant agent and you get paid based on the amount of work and effort you put into your business... just like any small business owner. I've included a couple of business related links below that you should now visit to get more help in starting your career in your own independant business.
