Working From Home

Is a Small Business or Working from Home for You?

There seems to be 2 continuing themes with regard to a home biz and work. Either we want to enjoy ourselves and have fun at our job, or we hate the place and look forward to going home each night. The home biz idea is idea is the thought that somehow we could stay home or control our own destiny while also having the stability of a weekly paycheck.

It's that later group of possibility thinkers that focus on having a better way to earn a living than going into an office building or other work that they dislike everyday. The other wish for us work at home types is to hit the lottery or become so rich that we don't need to work. So until we do hit the jackpot, the ideas continue to swirl around as to how to escape from the rat race while still being able to support the lifestyle.

The reality is that many people simply cannot work from home. Although the reasons vary, it comes down to the need for some people interact with other humans and the lack of responsibility. Let's take each in it's own turn.

First is the human interaction aspect. When working from home, much of the daily job will be done alone. That's as in all alone. This is because there are no people moving back and forth in your work space trying to get noticed or being noticed. For some, this is analogous to a prison sentence.

Those more social types actually enjoy the daily give and take and interaction of other people. If this is you, care must be taken to decide which work at home opportunity will best suit your personality. Some businesses allow you, the owner to use your home as a base of operations while also having the need to be out among the masses for a part of the day. This seems to be the best of both worlds if people are your thing.

The next point to consider is responsibility. Are you the type that needs constant prodding to get things done? Disorganized? Poorly planned days can severely impact your income. The need to stay on task, after identifying those tasks is never more important than when working for yourself or at home. Productively can drop tremendously if focus on getting the job done is lost.

There also are many distractions that are evident at home. Family, the television, the refrigerator, etc. All could play a role in sabotaging your efforts to be productive while working from home. All in all, the idea is great. Stay at home, be productive, control your time, etc.

The reality is that working alone means discipline and a focus on getting the job done even in spite of the distractions. Used vending machines can be found locally in newspapers or trade magazines, online in specialty stores or auction sites, and from individuals posting to blogs and forums. It is important that you trust the integrity of the seller. Make sure you purchase used vending machines from only reputable individuals with a good track record.

Shipping can cost quite a bit, so make arrangements to pick up the vending machines in person if at all possible. A used vending machine can be a great investment and an excellent way to increase your business. Compare prices and features before you buy and double check the condition of the machine you are planning to buy.
